I've been rocking these with a R-30C centre and R-101SW sub, powered by a Denon AVC-X3800H for a few months now, and it's been a great setup.
My lounge room is hardly an ideal setup lacking straight or parallel walls around the seating area, but once we applied a bit of balancing the output levels via the Denon, the soundscape is excellent. Voices, environmental effects, weapon and vehicle sounds of both sci-fi and historical origin all sound better than I've ever heard them from games, movies and TV shows.
What most impressed me was how subtle they could be when reproducing audio. A cutscene in one of the Tomb Raiders where an object is knocked from a table off screen and shatters on the ground had me headed to the kitchen to find what my cat had knocked from the bench before I realised it had come from the speaker.
Can you really ask for more than "indistinguishable from reality"?
